Chief Accountant (Maternity Cover)

The Role:

In this role, you will be part of Pwrteams’ Finance team and will be leading, organizing, controlling, and will be responsible for the overall financial and accounting activities of 2 companies– situated in Bulgaria and UK.

Your contribution to something big:

• Prepares financial reports and consolidates data according to the requirements.
• Ensures deadlines and accuracy of processed data.
• Inputs accounting and financial data into specialized software.
• Analyzes results and proposes actions to support management in making the right decisions.
• Participates in the development of various models for forecasting and planning the company's financial resources.
• Assists in the preparation of accounting documents and ensures compliance with accounting standards.
• Preparing irregular reports, calculations, and analysis.
• Supporting in the processes of budgeting, forecasting, and monthly analyses.
• Conducts monthly and yearly accounting, including all statutory reports (VAT, CIT and WHT returns, NSI and BNB reports, etc.).
• Ensures tax legislation complying, including any taxes due as withholding tax, tax on representative expenses, corporate tax, VAT and other.
• Manages the communication with the National Revenue Agency (NRA), National Social Security Institute (NSSI), National Statistical Institute (NSI), Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and other state authorities (and preparing related documentation).
• Supports the Global Accounting Manager.

Our ideal teammate has/is:

• Experience in the position of a Deputy Chief Accountant/Chief Accountant - minimum 3 years.
• University Degree in Economics, Business, and/or Accounting.
• Very good knowledge of Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting, tax legislation, and the NFRS for SMEs and IFRS regulations.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; experience with 365 Dynamics and ERP implementation would be a plus.
• Proficiency in English.
• Proven previous people management experience.
