Accountant (Maternity Cover)

The Role:

In this role, you will be part of Pwrteams’ Finance team. This role ensures efficient, accurate and timely processing of financial and accounting information, in accordance with current Bulgarian legislation, the organization's internal policies and established accounting standards, in order to support the company's financial management and accountability.

What you'll do:

• Processes accounting documentation in accounting software, obtains approval for documents, and prepares weekly payments
• Assists in the preparation of accounting documents and ensures compliance with accounting standards
• Provides support to the Chief Accountant with monthly and annual financial reporting, including all statutory reports (VAT declaration, annual tax return, reports for the National Statistical Institute and the Bulgarian National Bank, and others)
• Participates in the execution of year-end accounting closing procedures and assists during audits
• Archives and stores accounting and other corporate documents
• Ensures compliance with deadlines and the accuracy of information
• Adheres to all legal and internal company deadlines
• Handles business correspondence and communicates with clients in English

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• University Degree in Accounting, Economics and/or Business
• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting, tax legislation and the NFRS for SMEs and IFRS regulations
• Knowledge of ERP systems; experience with D365 Dynamics or other ERP would be a plus
• Very good knowledge in English
