Senior iOS Engineer

The Role

You will join an extension team of our client - WeShop.

WeShop is a community-owned social network that combines shopping with social media, has trusted Pwrteams to lay the foundations and grow their development team in Bulgaria. WeShop is a referral platform that offers the functionalities of social media and allows its users to shop for products from over 500 major retailers (with more added on a weekly basis) while earning shares in the company.

The innovative social-commerce platform was launched in the UK in 2022 and aims to list on the Nasdaq tech-heavy index in New York and launch in the US in the first quarter of 2025.

We are looking for an iOS Developer proficient in SwiftUI and comfortable with UIKit to join our team. While most of the project is in SwiftUI, some legacy UIKit components may require understanding, maintenance, or migration. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, execution-focused, and structured in their work, capable of making decisions within their scope without needing constant oversight.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain iOS applications using SwiftUI, with some exposure to UIKit for legacy components
• Work closely with two colleagues, actively reviewing PRs and maintaining high code quality
• Self-manage workload, ensuring timely delivery of features while adhering to deadlines
• Make pragmatic, execution-driven decisions without requiring lead-level oversight

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience with SwiftUI and a minimal grasp of UIKit for minor adaptations or migrations
• Ability to work collaboratively, providing constructive PR reviews and technical feedback
• Excellent self-management skills, balancing autonomy with communication when necessary
• Comfortable working in a structured, goal-oriented manner, prioritizing execution over abstract planning 

Brownie points

• Experience migrating UIKit to SwiftUI
• Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM or Composable Architecture
• Understanding of iOS performance optimization and debugging tools
