About the project
Pwrteams welcomes a technology-focused Senior Power BI Engineer to become a valuable member of the project team of our client, a leading company in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI migrations and administration, with a strong focus on permissions and capacity management, workspace management, data gateway configuration, and dashboard consolidation. This role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.

• Permissions and Capacity Management: Handle user permissions and manage capacity effectively to ensure optimal performance and security
• Workspace Management: Organize and manage workspaces efficiently to support business needs
• Data Gateway Configuration: Set up and manage data gateways to ensure seamless data flow and connectivity
• Dashboard Consolidation: Develop and implement strategies for consolidating and optimizing dashboards to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Cost Reduction: Focus on consolidating dashboards and optimizing resources to achieve significant cost savings
• Communication: Coordinate with the manager and other team members to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication
• Power BI Premium transitions to Microsoft Fabric

• Extensive experience in Power BI migrations and administration
• Proven track record in managing user permissions and capacity
• Strong skills in organizing and managing workspaces
• Expertise in setting up and managing data gateways
• Experience in consolidating and optimizing dashboards
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to commit to a long-term engagement

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with large-scale Power BI implementations
• Knowledge of cost optimization techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
