About our client

Our client is a global leader in manufacturing digital cutting machines that allow millions of people to get amazing experiences in creating craft artwork. To use the cutters, makers apply the company’s own powerful design software, available both for web and mobile devices. So that they can produce their own personalized masterpiece just with a few clicks.

About the project
You'll get a chance to work on a graphical editor that allows millions of people to create custom and hand-made pieces of art. This project is not about plain code, it's about bringing change and making life more colourful, so don't stand by and apply!

• Work collaboratively with fellow department members, product managers, firmware engineers, test engineers, and designers to develop cross platform (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) libraries and tools which interface directly with machines through USB and Bluetooth interfaces (BLE and Classic)
• Developing new features, enhancing existing features and improving the quality of the libraries and tools
• Apply software engineering design patterns to develop well structured, modular, performant application code
• Perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and contribute to architectural planning and refactoring
• Ensure best coding practices
• Training, mentorship, and development of junior team members

• 5+ years of development experience
• Proficiency in C, C++ with experience in cross-platform development (iOS, Android, Java, Kotlin, macOS, Windows)
• Expertise in USB and Bluetooth (Classic and BLE)
• Experience with development of communications protocols
• Experience with CMake — ability to read, understand, and help contribute to current build procedures for cross platform maintainability
• Experience with package managers (npm, CocoaPods, Maven, NuGet, SwiftPM, etc.)
• Experience in unit and integration testing
• Experience with Git in a collaborative environment (pull requests, branching strategies, tags, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of and experience with SDLC and Scrum/Agile methodologies
• A solid grasp of fundamental algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• Aptitude and desire to independently learn new technologies
• Good level of English in both oral and written communication
