About the project
Our partner, TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops. 
You will join Web global team at TUI responsible for the Web technologies across all holiday products and all TUI regions which owns several web applications that serve millions of users per year, generating billions in revenue for TUI. You will work with the multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, and Agile Delivery who are located, and also providing technical services, across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands. The project is a web platform and the client's strategy is to embrace new technologies to prepare for the future and deliver for the now.

As a Technology Team Lead, your role will see you tackling multiple challenges and working closely with the Head of Technology, Product Owner and with a varied set of stakeholders in various situations every day. You will tackle the whole software development cycle of designing, building, testing, and deploying applications.

• To champion agile values and to drive the teams for continual improvement
• Close collaboration with product owner and Architects
• Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise
• Reviewing code
• Design, implement and maintain Cloud requirements for development
• Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)
• You will be responsible (dependent on market area rules) for identification and recruitment of new talent into your team, coaching and mentoring existing and new team members and supporting their career development
• You will focus on creating a culture of technical excellence, innovation, learning and continuous improvement

• Knowledge of a range of languages such as JavaScript/NodeJS, Go, Java as well as CI/CD implementations
• Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools and services on AWS
• Experience with CI/CD setup, HTTP, REST API
• Knowledge of design patterns, OOP, Development principles
• Familiarity with the delivery flow: branching strategy, repo management, code style guides and enforcing, testing approaches, CI/CD, release plan
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills
• Great communicator, facilitator, and influencer comfortable working with a variety of technology and business stakeholders
• Advanced level of English
